Terms of purchase

Irrespective of model:

The original purchaser and owner of an Addmotor ebike or etrike, is covered against manufacturing defects in material or workmanship for the Warranty Period after the date of receipt of payment from the customer. Pre-Orders or Custom Orders are extended by 60 days from the date of receipt of payment, i.e., the entire warranty terms are valid from the date of receipt of payment plus 60 calendar days. Additional extended warranty purchased will only apply for the specific part and model; it will only apply to the original purchasers and must be purchased prior to receiving the product.


Addmotor Electric Bikes Limited Warranty including:

The following Limited Warranty term is only limited to the replacement of a defective part that is covered (“Covered Component”) which includes:

Effective for a brand-new Addmotor ebike/etrike:

The following warranty terms apply to the covered products purchased in the U.S. or Canada on or before February 29, 2024:
· Frame: Addmotor Electric Bikes/Trikes frames are covered by a two (2) year warranty.
· Battery:
Batteries with a capacity of 48V 20Ah are covered by an eighteen (18) month warranty.
Previous battery versions of any capacity less than 48V 20Ah batteries are covered by a one (1) year warranty.
· Parts & Components:
Original parts and components of forks, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, lights, bottom bracket, rims, wheel hub, derailleur, throttle, wiring harness, motor, controller, and LCD display are covered by a one (1) year warranty.
For the covered products purchased in the U.S. or Canada on or after March 1, 2024, the following warranty terms are applicable:
· Frame: Addmotor Electric Bikes/Trikes frames are covered by a two (2) year warranty.
· Battery: Batteries are covered by a two (2) year warranty.
· Motor: Motors are covered by a two (2) year warranty.
· Parts & Components:
Original parts and components of forks, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, lights, bottom bracket, rims, wheel hub, derailleur, throttle, wiring harness, controller, and LCD display are covered by a one (1) year warranty.

Effective for an Addmotor sample ebike/etrike:

· Sample ebike/etrike or secondhanded ebike/etrike sold by Addmotor are covered by a one (1) year warranty.
· The Limited Warranty is expressly limited to the replacement of a defective lithium-ion battery (the “Battery”), frame, forks, stem, handlebar, headset, seat post, lights, bottom bracket, rims, wheel hub, derailleur, throttle, wiring harness, motor, controller, and LCD display (each a “Covered Component”).

Effective for selected accessories sold by Addmotor:

Accessories sold by Addmotor are not covered under any Warranty, with the exclusion of major parts and accessories such as batteries, motors, controllers, and displays.
Only these four items will have a limited warranty, and the warranty for these accessory parts is effective from the original retail purchase date. These four accessory parts will be categorized under Cover Components with same rules and restrictions apply.
· Battery:
Batteries with a capacity of 48V 20Ah purchased in the U.S. or Canada on or before February 29, 2024, are covered by an eighteen (18) month warranty, battery versions of any capacity less than 48V 20Ah batteries are covered by a one (1) year limited warranty.
Batteries of any versions of any capacity purchased in the U.S. or Canada on or after March 1, 2024, are covered by a two (2) year warranty.
· Motor:
Motors purchased in the U.S. or Canada on or before February 29, 2024, are covered by a one (1) year warranty. For motors purchased in the U.S. or Canada on or after March 1, 2024, are covered by a two (2) year warranty.
· Other covered accessory parts, controller and display are covered by a one (1) year limited warranty.
The Covered Components are warranted to be free of defects in materials and craftsmanship throughout the duration of the Warranty Period. Please refer to “This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover” for limitations.


Remark:
Replacement parts will only be sent to the original shipping address's country even if the original owner has taken residency in another country.


What Will We Do to Correct Problems with Your E-Bike?

· If a component is deemed defective or damaged prior to the owner's usage (including damages from shipping), we will issue a replacement part. In addition, we will assist to replace any defective part(s).
· We will provide the original owner a replacement product if the product cannot be repaired after a reasonable number of tries as determined by Addmotor.


Warranty Exclusion:

· Wear and tear are not covered under warranty for components.
· The battery warranty does not include damage from power surges, use of an improper charger, improper maintenance or misusages, normal wear, upkeep (refer to the manual) or water damage.
· Warranty does not cover damage resulting from omitted or incorrect adjustment(s) or worn components.
· Addmotor will not be responsible for bike loss due to theft or robbery.


What Will We Not Do?

· Addmotor will not replace any parts without first seeing photos or videos of the damaged part.
· We will not offer warranty service to second owners.
· We will not replace any damaged parts caused by the user.
· We will not pay for any third-party service or part replacement unless agreed upon prior to any services.
· Addmotor will not cover any damage that may occur during shipping if the owner sets up their own shipping option or if the bike is shipped using a freight forwarder or similar service.


Terms of Warranty

· This warranty only applies to the original owner of an Addmotor E-Bikes. Only in extreme cases will an entire replacement bike be issued. In these cases, the original bike must be shipped to the Addmotor E-Bikes facility for inspection/repairs before a new bike is sent out.
· If repairs can be done, a new bike will not be sent.
· The warranty does not cover accessories or parts installation that are not originally intended or compatible with the e-bike. Any problems caused by the rider's usage, water damage, extreme riding, stunt riding, or improper follow-up maintenance are not covered by the warranty.
· This warranty does not include consumables or normal wear and tear parts (tires, tubes, brake pads, rotors, cables and housing, grips, chains, cassettes, spokes).
· In no event shall Addmotor be responsible for any direct, indirect or consequential damages, including without limitation, accident, damages for personal injury, property damage, or economic losses, whether based on contract, warranty, negligence, or product liability in connection with their products.


Claims

All claims to this warranty must be made through Addmotor. Proof of purchase may be required with any warranty request. Before making a warranty claim, we suggest that you contact our technical support team at support@addmotor.com as there may be a simple solution for your problem(s).
Valid warranty claims will be processed through Addmotor Bikes within one year of initial purchase. Warranty claims may be submitted to support@addmotor.com.


Shipping Damage Claims

· Upon receiving your bike, IMMEDIATELY inspect your product(s) for damage. Freight damage claims are extremely time-sensitive. We will not accept freight damage claims later than 30 days from receipt of the product.
· Note any damage to your product(s) on the Bill of Lading before you and the driver sign-off on the shipment.
· Take pictures of any damage that is found, and date the images if possible.
· Keep all packaging and paperwork until the inspection process is complete.
· Report damage claims within 10 days of delivery to an Addmotor customer service representative. Please contact our technical support team for return/replacement instructions at support@addmotor.com or (888)6600868.


Return

· All Addmotor’s e-bike will be unreturnable after 14 days of receiving the bike.
· If a return has been approved, the customer is in charge of properly packaging the bike, and returning to 4188 Arden Drive El Monte, California, 91731. Any damages caused during the shipping due to the lack of packaging will be deducted from the refund.
· Return requirement:
· Less than 10 miles on the odometer.
· No major scratches or paint chips. Any attempt to hide scratches and chips will result in a refund deduction.
· Depending on the bike(s)' condition, a restocking fee of 10 - 30% will be charged. Orders outside the continental United States may charge a restocking fee of up to 50%.
· A restocking fee of 13% will be charged for a returned battery.
· All the return orders freight will be on customers' own.

Cancellation of orders

Cancel the order before shipping, a 3.5% processing fee will be charged.
Cancellation of e-bike orders after shipment, a restocking fee for 13% will be charged.


Store Terms

By accepting these Terms of Service, you confirm that you meet the minimum legal age requirement in your state or province of residence. If you are of legal age and using this site, you also acknowledge that you have obtained the necessary consent to allow any minor dependents to use this site. Before using an e-bike, please make sure that the regulation laws of your state, municipal, and any other local ordinances have permissions regarding the use of e-bikes. It is prohibited to use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purposes, and you must not violate any laws in your jurisdiction. Addmotor will not be liable for any violations.
